1. Purpose of the Platform
This Publishing Policy defines the standards, sourcing, and procedures governing the publication of rewritten news updates on XHN.
XHN operates as a digital updates platform that presents consolidated information based on publicly available reports, official communications, and coverage by established media outlets.
The platform’s primary mission is to improve accessibility of global news, with a focus on audiences in Pakistan, the Pakistani diaspora, and a global readership.
XHN exists to inform, not to influence.

The editorial process includes:
- Drafting or rewriting by an editorial contributor or system

No content is published automatically without editorial oversight.
5. Rewriting Standards
When rewriting source material, XHN adheres to the following principles:
- Content is rewritten for clarity and readability only
- The original meaning and factual framing are preserved
- No new facts, assumptions, or implications are introduced
- No speculation or inference is added
- Headlines accurately reflect the substance of the source material
Rewriting does not alter the intent or factual substance of the original reporting.
6. Attribution and Source Transparency
XHN applies a combined attribution approach, which may include:
- Phrases such as “Based on reporting by Reuters”
- References such as “According to official statements”
- Links to original source material where appropriate
Attribution practices are designed to maintain transparency while ensuring a consistent reading experience.
7. Accuracy, Corrections, and Updates
Accuracy is a core editorial priority at XHN.
Corrections Policy
- Material errors are corrected with a public correction note added to the article
- Minor errors, such as typographical or grammatical issues, may be corrected silently
- All corrections are reviewed and approved by the Publishing Team
Content is not removed solely due to routine updates unless the underlying information is materially incorrect.
8. Use of Technology and AI Assistance
XHN may use automated tools, including AI-assisted systems, solely for language-related improvements, such as:
- Correcting grammatical or typographical errors
- Improving sentence structure and readability
All editorial decisions and publication authority remain human-led. Automated systems do not publish content independently.
9. Legal and Ethical Standards
XHN operates under a hybrid editorial framework guided by international best practices and applicable Pakistani laws.
The platform is committed to:
- Avoiding defamation
- Respecting copyright and fair-use principles
- Minimizing harm and misinformation
10. Editorial Accountability
